President and CEO

Toby Luther is the President and CEO of Lone Rock Resources based in Roseburg, OR. Toby moved to Douglas County late in his high school years and fell in love with the area and his wife Christina. After going away to attend Oregon State University and get his career started, originally as a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse Coopers, Toby returned to the Roseburg area in 2001 as the CFO for Lone Rock. In 2008, Lone Rock underwent some significant transitions in leadership and formed its first independent board of directors and asked Toby to become its first non-family CEO and lead the Company through a diversification strategy. Since he was appointed President and CEO, the Company has maintained a world class presence in its core business, Timber, while diversifying the holdings of the Company with investments in real estate, natural gas, the wine industry and Abby’s Pizza.  

Toby serves on the boards of all Lone Rock investments and serves as an Independent Director for Sasser Family Companies (Schaumburg, IL).  Locally he is the Chair of the Ford Family Foundation Board of Directors and has served on numerous community boards, currently serving on the boards of Mercy Medical Center and Wildlife Safari. In addition, in September 2024, he was appointed to the Board of Trustees of Oregon State University.  

In the forest products industry, Toby has served in a variety of roles, including the executive team of the National Alliance of Forest Land Owners where he Chaired the Audit and Finance Committee as well as the Political Action Committee and he served on the Operations Committee for Oregon Forest & Industries Council for 8 years, 2 years as the Chairman of the Board. 

Toby lives in Roseburg with his wife Christina, and he has three adult children, Alexandra, Jacob and Joshua.

Since joining the Company in 2009, Greg’s focus has ranged across operations, strategy, acquisitions, negotiations, and partner relationship management.  Prior to joining the Company, Greg had his own consultancy and served as the Chief Financial Officer for several public and private forest products companies. Greg began his career at Coopers & Lybrand, now Price Waterhouse Coopers, including a two-year rotation in the Accounting & SEC Directorate of the national office. Greg is a graduate of the University of Oregon. Greg currently serves as an independent director for a privately held specialty writing instrument company, and the Southwest Oregon Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Since joining the Company in 2007, Jami has held various accounting and finance positions, taking on her current role in 2018. She has also been a key participant in the Company’s diversification strategy, due diligence and implementation teams.  Prior to joining the Company, Jami spent ten years at Moss Adams LLP, a regional public accounting firm, where she focused primarily on forest products clientele. Jami has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Oregon, and graduated at the top of her class in the business school.  Jami currently serves as the Board Treasurer of the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she also serves on the boards of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Umpqua Valley and a small ultra-premium Oregon based winery. Jami sits on the OFIC Forest Taxation Committee, the Tax Task Group for NAFO, and previously served for over ten years on the OSCPA Forest Products Committee, including as committee chair.

President, Lone Rock Timber Companies

A graduate of the Oregon State University College of Forestry, Joe began his journey with Lone Rock in 2009, planting trees as part of the company crew. Over the years, he has gained hands-on experience across a broad range of forestry and leadership roles at Lone Rock.  In 2022, Joe took on his current position, overseeing all timber-related activities for the company. Joe currently sits on the boards for the Oregon Forest and Industry Council and Forest Landowner Association.  Outside of work, Joe enjoys raising his three active children alongside his wife, Janelle.  He is also deeply involved in several community organizations, as well as coaching youth sports.

Senior Vice President, Timber Management

Mark joined the Company in 1996 as a silvicultural forester and has held various forestry positions in the company before taking on his current role in 2009. Mark has a B.S. in Forest Management from Oregon State University where he graduated at the top of his class in the College of Forestry. Mark currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Western Forestry and Conservation Association and REAL Oregon.  In the community he has been heavily involved in coaching youth sports for the past 15 years as well as serving in his local church.  Mark lives in Roseburg with his wife and four boys.

 

Mark Kincaid

Vice President, Timber Investments & Partnerships, Government Affairs & Policy

Since joining Lone Rock Resources in 2015, Brennan has held key roles in harvest administration, managing Lone Rock’s logging company, overseeing government affairs and policy, and leading the company's wildfire preparedness and suppression program. In 2024, he stepped into his current role, managing Lone Rock’s timber investment partnerships. With over two decades of experience in forestry, Brennan brings a deep commitment to sustainable forest management. He is an active member of several professional and community boards and committees, including Chair of Oregon Department of Forestry’s Emergency Fire Cost Commitee, reflecting his passion for working forests and rural communities. He holds a BA in Environmental Science from Willamette University and an MS in Forest Science from Oregon State University. Outside of work, Brennan enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two daughters, whether camping or coaching youth sports.
